As part of the overall distribution of water from the Manasquan System, the Monmouth County Improvement Authority entered into a contract with the New Jersey Water Supply Authority to construct and operate a 4 million gallon per day water treatment plant and potable water transmission system. The ManasW T 01quan Water Treatment Plant now provides 60% of the potable water consumed by the communities of  Brielle, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights, and Wall Township.

The 2007 Water Quality Report, available now, has been prepared to meet the USEPA and NJDEP Consumer Confidence Report Regulations. This report summarizes the results of water analyses performed on the potable water delivered by the Manasquan Water Treatment Plant from January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006. Water Customers of the communities of  Brielle, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights, and Wall Township should receive a Consumer Confidence Report from their local Water Department.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) has completed Source Water Assessment Reports and Summaries for all the public water systems in New Jersey. The source water assessment process identifies the potential for a system-specific source of drinking water to become contaminated.
